Barry Silbert is a pioneering figure in digital currency and blockchain technology. As the Founder and CEO of Digital Currency Group (DCG), he has played a crucial role in establishing the industry’s foundation by launching, incubating, and investing in innovative companies.These companies aim to transform the global financial services ecosystem and usher in what is termed the “internet of value.”

Barry Silbert’s notable contribution includes the creation of the Bitcoin Investment Trust (BIT), overseen by Grayscale Investments, a subsidiary of DCG. Before establishing DCG, Silbert founded SecondMarket in 2004. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in finance from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses, Silbert positioned himself as a notable figure. Grayscale Investments, another of Silbert’s notable ventures, is best known for its flagship Bitcoin Investment Trust.
